With the coming holidays I am reminded of the many blessings I have received from the ISNA family of friends and industry partners. My life has been so enriched because of the gifts you have given including support, caring, and encouragement, both professionally and personally. I've had the opportunity to work with many wonderful people across the state and if you step out and become involved with ISNA, I promise you too will have experiences beyond your imagination. Have you asked your co-worker to come to a chapter or ISNA meeting? Encourage them to become involved too.
During 2010 you can expect to see more certification opportunities from the School Nutrition Association and from ISNA. It's easier than ever to get and keep your certification through changes made at SNA. We think you'll get great benefit from the opportunities and will be able to easily increase your number of CEU's. Be sure and go to the SNA website at www.schoolnutrition.org for information and if you are already certified, check out the “Grandfathered” section, because your requirements differ from newly certified members.
Because of the overwhelming positive response to our Leadership Academy for foodservice managers in June, 2009, we are pleased to offer another Leadership Academy in January, 2010. Watch for registration information on the ISNA website. The number of attendees is limited, so keep checking back to register as soon as it's available and soon we will be announcing our Spring line-up of events on the website as well. Don't miss out on some exciting programs in the near future!
We at ISNA are working hard to ensure you have a great professional new year. We send our very best Holiday wishes to each of you and your families; for a joyful, peaceful and productive New Year.
Fondly,
