SNA celebrates members who work every day to ensure well-nourished students across the country are prepared for success. Nominate an employee, manager, and/or director you know to be recognized for all of their great contributions!
Individuals may be nominated by peers, staff, colleagues, or supervisors for these awards. All nominees must be SNA members who hold a SNA Certificate in School Nutrition or the SNS credential throughout the entire awards nomination and judging process. Nominations are now being accepted online for the 2017-18 awards and are due by March 1, 2018.
ISNA Exclusive Awards
ISNA values the opportunity to honor its members who have gone "above and beyond" in different aspects of their career, but may not have met the criteria set forth for the State SNA Awards. Members are encouraged to nominate for the awards summarized below (click the links for a printable nomination form or you may also nominate electronically). Awards will be presented at the Annual Conference in November 2018.
SUPER Star Service Award Sponsored by JTM Food Group
Assistant Director of the Year Sponsored by Peterson Farms Fresh, Inc.
The Indiana School Nutrition Association offers scholarships each year. These scholarships are made possible by various fundraising activities and vendor support. ISNA has two scholarships...MGM (Magnificent Growth Money) and Mary Ann Schlarb Scholarship. Application deadline is April 1st of each year.
General Criteria for ISNA scholarship eligibility are as follows:
2. Applicant must be employed in school foodservice.
3. Application must be submitted on an official application form with all pertinent information provided (see below for application form)
4. Application must be for a specific course, conference or class which is relevant to improving school food service programs. See specifics on application.

6. Each Scholarship may have specific eligibility requirements.
Mary Ann Schlarb Single Unit Scholarship
ISNA strives for continuing education in our profession. Mary Ann Schlarb exemplified that concept, and in her memory the Association awards this scholarship of $500.00 to an active single unit member who has made significant contributions in his/her school district or state association. The reimbursable $500 scholarship money is to be used for professional development activities. The award is not based solely on need; the basis of the final determination will be food service involvement.
MGM Grant (Magnificent Growth Money)
The Executive Board of the Indiana School Nutrition Association recognizes the continued need for professional growth opportunities for the membership. The Board also recognizes that financial support for single unit members is crucial. For this reason, an MGM Grant Program was established.
The Executive Board will permit up to $2,000 in MGM Grant money each fiscal year. Award amounts will be determined on each application, but not to exceed $500 to any one person in a year. Applications will be evaluated on a "first come, first approved basis."
