The mission of the Indiana School Nutrition Association is to offer its members professional development opportunities, promote public awareness and address legislative issues in order to provide quality nutrition programs for schools and the communities they serve.

The purpose of the Indiana School Nutrition Association is to improve the health and education of school children through nutritionally adequate and educationally sound nonprofit school food service programs, to maintain and further develop high standards for school food service programs, to encourage and promote between school personnel and the general public such united efforts as will assure every school child adequate school food services, to secure adequate school food service laws, rules, regulations, and polices, to promote interest in the recruitment and training of school food service personnel and to improve and protect their status, to serve as a medium for the distribution of information between national, state and local associations, and to be affiliated with the American School Nutrition Association.
