President’s Welcome Message
A meal is more than food on a tray. For a student, it can be a moment of comfort, a source of energy, a reason to smile, and a reminder that someone cares. School meals have the power to fuel learning, build community, and help children begin each day ready to reach their full potential.

As I step into my role as President of the Indiana School Nutrition Association, I am honored to serve the dedicated professionals who make those moments possible every day.
I am living proof of the necessity of child nutrition programs, a product of the very programs I now have the privilege of advocating for. The meals I received as a child helped fuel my learning, my dreams, and ultimately, my journey to becoming a leader in school nutrition. My story is a reminder that the meals we provide today can help shape the leaders of tomorrow.
Today, we have incredible achievements to celebrate across the State of Indiana. Throughout the state, we served an extraordinary 114,964,000 lunches and 49,737,000 breakfasts. This represents more than 164 million opportunities to nourish Indiana's children, support their success, and a remarkable testament to what happens when dedicated people come together with a shared purpose.
School nutrition professionals are mentors, advocates, and leaders. Your work extends far beyond the cafeteria. It reaches classrooms, families, communities, and ultimately, the future of our state.
This is the Power of school meals, and it is something Indiana should celebrate with pride.

Our association is strongest when we stand together. By sharing ideas, supporting one another, and advocating for the importance of school meals, we can continue to strengthen the programs that serve Indiana's students.
I believe every child deserves access to a nutritious meal and the opportunity to learn without worrying about where their next meal will come from. This belief fuels my commitment to this association and to the professionals who make that promise possible.
As we move forward together, let us remember the Power of what We Do Everyday. A meal can change a student's day. A caring adult can change a student's life, and a united profession can change the future.
The Power of school meals is real. The Promise of a leader is to help make that power possible for every student.
Serving with Purpose. Leading with Passion. Nourishing Indiana’s Future.
